According to the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP – 1986), pain is a sensory, emotional, unpleasant experience associated with current or potential tissular damage. Pain can be acute, or chronic if it lasts from 3 to 6 months. Among chronic pain, the following can be mentioned: osteoarthritic pain, lumbalgia, chronic cephalea (headache), neuropathic pain, and visceral pain. Although there is a wide variety of neuropathies arising from different causes, this poster focuses on some peripheral nerve trapping and compression-related neuropathies only.
